These are a series of informal meetings held at Royal Holloway to discuss issues related to research methods. We will discuss some recent papers and ideas on reproducibility and open science, however, our “journal club” will be much more than that! Depending on the skills and interests of the attendees, we will also have how-to talks on different analysis techniques (ranging from how to write good code to computational modelling to Bayesian meta-analysis) as well as theory development and testing. If you are struggling with an analysis/particularly difficult piece of code/paper draft and would like to discuss it, please come along too! We encourage everyone to come in person, but if you are not on campus that day and still want to join, there is always Teams.
